Merry Christmas!

Maddie doesn't think seeing Santa is as funny as we do. At least not yet. Maybe when I show this picture at her wedding she'll laugh. Maybe not.

p.s. A package came from Illinois the other day! Only a few more sleeps and then it's Bitty Baby Time! The Harry and David has arrived and is disapearing fast! THANK YOU!

The Christmas Card:
Behind the Scenes

Jackson showing his muscles!

Not sure what happened here.

Jackson: Professional Cat Herder.

Looks boring, doesn't it?

Apparently not.

I put this bucket in the playroom with a lovely label on the lid: "Little People". (Now doesn't that part of the story make all you STA folks miss me even more? Who on earth is labeling everything for you now that I'm gone??) Anyway, I thought we needed a safe place for all the farm animals b/c Sammy likes to play "Coyote" and tries to eat all the sheep. Well, that bucket hasn't held a farm animal since. Instead it is the single most popular item in the playroom - second only to that IRRITATING toy to which Auntie Lisa just gave fresh batteries: arghhhh. Becoming a mother does not mean that I instantly enjoy toys that cause noise induced hearing loss. I think I need an OT consult (Kelly??) b/c noisy toys give me sensory overload. Personally, I prefer the bucket too, but as Jason would say "it won't fit on that planetoid".
(Jason has a very very small head and he is terribly jealous of my big brains.)

"Excuse me, I just need to make a quick call..."

"I'll just grab the phone..."

"...and make my way to somewhere quiet so I can have some privacy."

"Actually, I think I'll just text Uncle Britt instead."

Walking in a Winter Wonderland...

It was a balmy -8C here in Toon Town today so my SisterWife, Lisa, and I decided to take the girls out for some fresh air. It was snowing like crazy - this picture was taken BEFORE we even started walking!

Lisa and Mackenzie

Apparently the secret to getting Maddie to sit still is to stick her in a snowbank.

Snug as a Bug:
A second tooth started to come through today - she's on a roll. And I think that her eyes are continuing to change, I wonder what colour they will be in the end.

This is what mornings with The Twins looks like...

Mackenzie: Peek-a-boo!

Maddie: I'm SOOO big!

Imitating Mommy telling Daddy: "Now, I mean it!"

Teething: Tales of a Frozen Bagel

The bagel was a big hit. And then it was missing. And then we remembered that Bosco was also missing. What we don't know:
Did he eat it or did he bury it? Only time will tell...

MADDIE HAS A TOOTH!

Please don't ask me for a picture.
Do you have any idea how hard that is?
I'll try, but I'm not promising anything.

For those of you that care, it's on the bottom.

How to get started on the
Christmas Baking:

Step 1: Check the recipe.
"Auntie Jenn, we probably need a couple 2 eggs"
(note: I am adding "auntie" in here for my own benefit. It seems I don't get the "auntie" title around here. Big sigh. The sun rises and sets on UNCLE Jason's head however. I have decided to look on the bright side and now I am telling myself that it's b/c I'm super cool like Donna Jean. )

Step 2: Add the ingredients.

Step 3: Now this is the moment we've all been waiting for - time to lick the beaters!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Markosky!

I hope that you have/had a great day(I'm actually editing this on the day after b/c blogger and I didn't get along yesterday). We thought about you all day and can't wait to see you this weekend.

I hope you appreciate this photo. The term "herding cats" comes to mind...

Over here guys...

Maddie's slowly tipping over...

Maddie: Mackenzie, look at the camera!
Mackenzie: Don't be so bossy, Maddie
Jackson: AHHHH! There's too many girls, I'm out numbered.

Maddie can stand on her own now for about 10-15 seconds at a time!
