Chandelier Update
My beautiful chandelier is FILTHY. It is taking forever to clean.
Fun fact: Allison was mentioning it and said "girl, you can find the beauty in anything". At first I was honestly suprised when she said that. I mean - who WOULDNT love that thing? But then I looked at the pictures. Yeah. It's scuzzy.
As inspiration - I'm going to post some pictures of what I hope it will look like once I scrub all the dirt off.
So pretty.
So many little details. It seems to have all it's crystals. I have no idea what are original. From what I can find online it is a 1950/60's Spanish Style Chandelier. Some places say French style. I can't find out info on WHY it's called this.
Ok, I am supposed to be washing dishes. Better get on that.

Happy Birthday TREENA!
Treena sent me this today. She has joined the ranks of Fabulous Women in our Forties.
I totally love it and agree with all of it. When I turned 30 I stopped caring so much if my house was a mess. Now I'm 40 and I feel even more free. Yet also more motivated to take care of myself.
The most important thing (for me) is learning to "love the one your with". AKA - be comfortable in this skin, in this body, now. B/c lets' be real here - it's not going to look this fabulous in 20 years. It's going to be a different kind of fabulous, sure. So I'm appreciating this fabulous body now - and then I'll love the 60 year old body when it shows up.

It's so heavy. I'm sure it's solid brass.
