Sleepover update! It sounds like everyone survived the sleepover night. Lisa has full details on her blog We survived our night out (two nights in a row!!)

Caly-corn-ya

Jason, pretty much at the last minute, found out that he had to go to Santa Clara, CA (right near San Jose). So he flew out at 7:30 Sunday morning (ugh.) We miss him lots already and he's gone until Thursday night. This morning Maddie went running into our room to "wake up Daddy".

We have these strange little plastic dolls/figurines that I bought at a garage sale. You can record about 30 seconds of voice on them. Maddie just found one (you know how toys surface every once in a while) Anyway, just as I'm typing this Maddie found it, pressed it, and heard Daddy's voice say "Hello Madeleine!". Right away she said "Hello Daddy!"

Must be a good night for a Sleep Over!

Maddie is going to Auntie Lisa and Unlce Jayson's tonight.
Her bag is packed, her jammies are on...she's ready to go!

The next question: Are Lisa and Jayson ready??

Business in the Front:

Party in the Back:

Grandma and Grandpa B came down this week. Mom had surgery on her knee (everything is good and she's feeling better every day). Maddie loved spending all day with them and was quite pooped out by the time they left.

"Daddy, go night nights!"
Maddie tucked Daddy into the last night as we waited for our babysitter (YES! We have a babysitter!!) to arrive. She kept saying "Go sleep Daddy!" in a very stern voice anytime he moved or talked. Then she wiggled in there beside him.

50 Points to everyone for getting their profile pictures on the Lucky Fan Club! I love seeing the new pictures that appear.

What? No pictures from me today? Sorry. It's late and I need to get crack-a-lackin' to bed.

Has anybody heard of The Big Cook? My new office roomie bought the book and I'm going to give it a try. Lisa, I think you should try with me. You cook 8 meals at once and throw them all in the freezer. Sounds perfect to me.

Did I tell you about Maddie and the Twins yet? Apparently "Blue" is a popular baby name as that is what she has named one of the twins (it was the twin dressed in blue - coincidence?) So I'm all "Maddie, what's the other baby's name?" and she replies: "Black".

Yes folks, the twins are a tough bunch. Black and Blue.

I thought Maeve and Danny would be better names. Oh save your grown, I've heard it all. Maeve is wearing mauve and I swear she came up with Danny on her own. Don't worry, they haven't stuck.

ok, nighty night kids.

At the end of January Maddie and I drove to Roblin to see Steph (home from WA) and then to go on to Birtle to see my Grandma. I picked Steph up bright and early saturday morning and we headed to Birtle (she was going to help me with Maddie while I visited with Grandma at the hospital - Steph's job was to keep Maddie from unplugging someone's life sustaining device). Anyway, as luck would have it there was a horrible snow storm so we had to turn around. Then to add to our change of plans, Maddie got the stomach flu so we bunked in with Grandma and Grandpa Pollock and Steph. As you can see - we didn't pack clothes to stay the night. This is one of several of Grandpa Pollock's t shirts that Maddie went through that night.

She finally fell asleep.

Maddie got a new chair for her birthday and immediately felt it was a good idea to give the chair to Calf-Ryn. It is worth noting that she put the chair on the couch and on the red chair. With no help.

Can you see in this picture that Madeleine is helping one of The Twins learn to drive her car. And yes, the other Twin is stuffed into the trunk. This kid cracks us up every single day.
