Pretty Toes

Maddie had her first "Pedi" today. Of course, she loved it - really what girl doesn't love pretty toes in the summer time? Jason was on a cross country flight (to Nipawin) and Maddie was napping when he came home. Well, the first thing she did when she woke up was show Daddy her toes - as Keely says "we forget long before they do!"

Maddie's response to my "cheese".
That's plenty of cheese, thank you.

The Chronicles of Jammies:
The Cart, The Laundry Basket, and The Kitchen Set

Pushing from the back of the cart allows Bitty Baby to have a better view while shopping.
It's all about teamwork.

"Mommy's right - this laundry basket IS bottomless"

"Let me just whip up some corn on the cob"

Today's blog has been brought to you by the number 4 and the letter N. As in Four Nelson's. Thanks for all the great stuff guys - we are so excited to hear all about your Malaysian adventures! And I will think of you 27 times on Tuesday. One word: gravol.

A little slice of
Beagle Paradise!

Sammy LOVES grass. We let her out in the front yard without a leash, without a collar. Crazy, I know. Lucky for us nobody walked by with a dog.

Finding just the right spot for...

The back stroke.

What you don't see here (b/c she stopped as soon as I got the camera) is Maddie rolling on the ground exactly like Sammy. She watched Sammy, then watched us laughing hysterically at Sam - then promptly dropped to the ground and began her beagle imitation. Seriously, could this kid get cuter??
Maddie is sick. Gross alert: she has green goo oozing from her eyes and nose. At first I thought "this must be what Saskatchewan people meant when they said we had to 'bleed green' once we moved here. And then the barfing started. And the not sleeping. And the fever. Today we went to the doctor - ear infections in both ears.

Mackenzie is home sick too these days. My phone conversations with my sister-wife often end in "oh! gotta go!" with the sound of gagging in the background.

Our life is SO glamorous.

And now for the selfish bit: Maddie and I were supposed to fly to Calgary this weekend as a big birthday surprise. Our flight plans have been grounded until a later day now...

Helping Grandma B making everything look just so.

Grandpa B was busy dealing with the PLENTIFUL topsoil- I ordered way more than we need right now. Damn math.
