Maddie had her first "Pedi" today. Of course, she loved it - really what girl doesn't love pretty toes in the summer time? Jason was on a cross country flight (to Nipawin) and Maddie was napping when he came home. Well, the first thing she did when she woke up was show Daddy her toes - as Keely says "we forget long before they do!"

Maddie is sick. Gross alert: she has green goo oozing from her eyes and nose. At first I thought "this must be what Saskatchewan people meant when they said we had to 'bleed green' once we moved here. And then the barfing started. And the not sleeping. And the fever. Today we went to the doctor - ear infections in both ears.
Mackenzie is home sick too these days. My phone conversations with my sister-wife often end in "oh! gotta go!" with the sound of gagging in the background.
Our life is SO glamorous.
And now for the selfish bit: Maddie and I were supposed to fly to Calgary this weekend as a big birthday surprise. Our flight plans have been grounded until a later day now...
