I accidently erased the picture that I really wanted for this post. This picture is three seconds earlier.

The back story:

Juliette is Lara and Sean's 9 month old sweetheart. She adored EVERYONE at the party. She thought Maddie was pretty great, but unfortunately Miss Too Cool for School didn't return the love. So here you see Juliette going in for a little loving.  What you don't see is the next picture of Maddie ripping all the toys out of her reach.

Happy Birthday Georgia Bean!


Morgan threw a pool party to celebrate Georgia's first birthday. We had so much fun. Sarah made a ton of fabulous cupcakes and my fave cookies. Georgia loved the water this time (quite the change from her previous two swims). Her enthusiasm was infectious and Maddie really started to enjoy the water too!


Happy Birthday Georgia, I love you lots and lots.

This weekend Allison and I learned:

1. We are wonderful mother's despite what our children do.

2. Maddie likes Pad Thai and Tanner likes to make onion lettuce wraps at Keos. (note: he likes to MAKE them, but not necessarily EAT them).

3. Wine and girl time is way better when no one else is around. (we can't wait for May!)

4. we have CUTE kids!

She just turned one last tuesday and let me tell you, this girl is a mover and a shaker!  Many of you know that I'm a self proclaimed "not a baby person" but this little girl has shown me I am a "Toddler Person".  I can't get enough of her.  Her eyes are so bright and truly they sparkle, especially when she smiles.  She can imitate so much already and she's so interactive.  It's so fun to watch her and cuddle her (although the cuddles never last as long as I would like).  


Morgan:  Your sweet little girl is wonderful.  I'm so glad she has arrived.  I know I'm going to love watching her grow up.

Eric was a little boy in Jackson's lessons. After Jackson helped Eric into his skis, he then took the time pass on a few pointers.


Jackson is almost at level four (that means POLES!). Not too shabby for a kid who's skied a total of 6 days in his life!

Yep. Daredevil.


Lisa and I have vowed that NEXT year the photos won't look like every other year. Next year we'll have cool hip ski gear. 
 We'll be the coolest non 21 year olds on the mountain!

Let the holiday begin!
Here we are unloading all of our stuff from the trucks and up to the condo. We packed "light" this year. As the kids get older there seems to be less "kid stuff" and more "grown up beverages".

The Speech Path in me feels the need to point out that it is not a real sucky - it's from one of her babies. But that is her suitcase that she so proudly hauled around.

This is the first time in THREE years that I've had a picture of all three kids smiling.

Can you see those teeny tiny skis? It looks like spring around here. Not much snow and it's really warm. It was raining today when we woke up. Very different from last year when it was so cold that we couldn't ski one day.

I told Jackson to heard the cats, and Mackenzie started to meow. And then Maddie started to bark.
