Went to bed at 9:00. Alarm woke me at 8:00. I'm still sooo tired. 

I learned a long time ago, working at the honey farm, that I am not cut out for hard labour. I'm just a delicate flower, after all. 

Time to stumble down to the coffee pot. 

Yard Work

I'm so tired I don't have words. So here are a couple pictures of what we've been up to this weekend. 

Mom and Dad came on Wednesday. We had a garage sale Friday and Saturday morning.  No pictures. Kept meaning to and kept forgetting. While the sale was on Dad was chopping trees and hauling dirt.  

AND Jason fixed my car!

We are all exhausted. Maddy almost fell asleep at supper.

Shoot.  Can't get the video to load. I dug and hauled four full wheel barrows of river rock out of Donna's front yard. Will try to do one more haul tomorrow.

Now it's time for a beer and an episode of Dexter. Night. 

May Long Weekend

My parents are here to help me get our yard into shape.  After being a rental for five years, it needs a little loving.  

You guys, they are working SO HARD.  I can't believe how much they got done while I was at work today.  I'll post pictures after the weekend is over.  Short version - my mom set up the garage sale and my dad created a GIANT flower bed, trimmed unruly trees, and yanked out ugly shrubs. 

Garage sale was tonight (friday evening) and again tomorrow morning.  Only until noon.  

Guess what I think I like more than going to garage sales?  HAVING a garage sale.  I'm loving it.  Its not nearly as painful as I thought it would be.  Mostly b/c my mom has helped a lot and Donna has quite a big sale compared to our so I mostly get to watch people dig through her stuff.  But our stuff also seems to be going, so thats good. 

Jason of course made half of what Mom and I made  when he sold three items.  Oh well.  

Maddy is selling drinks for 75 cents.  And then using her profits to buy items from my sale.  Yes.  That is happening.  

So now it's quiet time until tomorrow when all the work starts again.  I'm on  Dexter jag right now.  Its a new show.  From 2006.  Yep.  That's me.  Always on the cutting edge.  

Thank you again Mom and Dad for all your help so far. I hope you can last until Monday!

Jana, Jill, Lisa, & Marion: Thanks for such a great Women's Weekend! (as 6 year old Addison named it) Maddy has already asked when we are doing it again. 

Someone I love very much just said goodbye to her very best girl friend.  She died this afternoon.  

She said she "left".  Not gone forever, just gone for now. 

My heart is breaking for my friend. 

I hope she has some peace with it.  

Death gives me such a panic feeling.  Not about my own death.  But about it happening to someone I love.  Like I want to scream wait wait wait wait.  I'm not ready.  Not yet.  I need more time.  

When I was in high school I think like 7 people died in about 3 years.  Sick.  7 kids.  Then my Grandma, my uncle, and my little cousin died.  All at once it seemed.  It was horrible, but I was young and invincible and I really truly didn't understand what it really meant.  20 years later and I get it.  Shit, I get it now.

Maddy was in skating this winter.  The carnival was about a month or so ago and her group had a "Spy Theme".  They skated to the theme songs from 007 and Indiana Jones.  

I opened my email today and the pictures have arrived.  To be honest, I forgot we even ordered them!

BUT IM SO GLAD WE DID BC MY HEART IS BREAKING!

Like, seriously.  

Tis the season
