Gotta love Maddie's sweet lil' Baby Legs!
Thank you Auntie Keely!

Maddie loves digging in this toy box.
It's a bit deeper than her arm length so every once in a while I find her dangling in there with her little toes just off the ground. So cute I tell you.

Jeepers, it's hard to get a picture of this kid.
Most of my pictures are either of the back of her head or look a lot like this. Tonight she was ON THE MOVE! After supper she didn't stop racing around the play room/living room until it was time for bedtime snack. And then she only stopped b/c I tied her down.

Cute Things Maddie Does #294:
Did I tell you this already? Bear with me. Last night Jason and Lisa were in the living room with Maddie and I think Jason sneezed. The next thing we know, Maddie is imitating fake sneezes and thinking it's hee-larious. It's so cute my heart breaks a little each time she does it. She squishes up her teeny tiny nose and lets out this teeny little sneeze. We would love to get it on video, but you know how that goes...

I have discovered the Bengal Cat equivalent to my Beagle blog that I am addicted to. If you've never seen a Bengal you must check this out. They are absolutely the most beautiful animals - and I am so NOT a cat person (although I continue my campaign for Patches indoor status).

anyway, here it is, but of course my favorite Bengal will always be my first: Moe (Steph and Aaron, I hope you don't mind that I stole this pic)

What do you call...

When babies are raised in the wild by wolves they're called "feral children". What do you call a little girl raised by beagles? More and more each day we see little beagle characteristics in Maddie.
1. All toys in mouth (I've heard this is a baby thing too...but I don't know)
2. Loves to have a sock in her hand and the only thing she loves more is a (clean) sock in her mouth. This kid can scope out a sock ANYWHERE.
3. Chases lights - the beagles will go nutso for a laser light and now Maddie tries to grab lights or reflections.
4. Water - loves the bath, loves running water. Sound like anyone else we know? (hint - Sammy LIVES for the water hose).

So, is she a "fer-eagle child"? Or maybe a "beral child"? All I know is that these days she sheds a helluva lot less than the other two.

Nothing beats time spent with Great Grandma

She fed Maddie a bottle and sang a lullaby, this was after a lot of moving around. These days Maddie will only cuddle when she's really really tired...

Great Grandma was able to see Maddie scoot all over her apartment. We finally took her out to the lobby so she could really motor and burn off some steam!

Great Great Auntie Evelyn joined us for lunch.

Maddie asked me to send a big shout out to all her Russell Fans! It was great meeting you all.

Maddie with Grandpa and Grandma Pollock

Reading books and eating worms with Grandma Pollock (aka Russel Fan Club President). Maddie and I had a great visit and enjoyed some FABULOUS coffee and baking.

Maddie's First Hunting Trip

They don't seem to have any clothes in Blaze Orange at Please Mum...

All dressed up for the Fish Fry! Great Uncle Garnet and Great Auntie Dodie came over for supper on Friday night and we ate a feast of fish and home made chips. So Yummy! Maddie dove into (literally) peas, roast beef and garden carrots.
I am obsessed with dressing Maddie in leotards. Almost as much as I am obsessed about her sweet little feet!

I tried to include a video of Maddie waving with this post, but there seems to be some kind of glitch. She started to imitate our actions on the weekend. At 4 a.m. to be exact. Here's the story: Maddie woke up at 3:15 bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to start her day. Daddy and I were less than ready but apparently it wasn't up to us to decide. By 4 a.m. we were both yawning. Jason was overtaken by a scale 7.5 yawn which Maddie watched intently. Then she opened her teeny tiny little mouth as big as it would go. And The Yawning Game was born. As of today, she will yawn, stretch her arms up high for "big girl" and wave bye bye when you say "bye" or "night night". But will the kid sign anything? Hell no. At 10 months she definitely knows what she will and will not do, thank you very much.

YAY!!!

Shelley, Cousin Extraordinaire, received a runner up for her caption on the Daily Digital. Personally, I liked hers better than the one that won, but it wasn't my decision!

Thanks to everyone who checked out Bosco. If you haven't had a chance yet, there's still time...

Bookworm?

Posted by Picasa

Maddie is finally starting to become interested in books. She especially loves these books with big pictures. She seems to be looking at the pictures more and chewing on the pages less which I think is a step in the right direction.

Happy Birthday Grandma and Jackson!

Although Mackenzie's birthday is first, we had a cake for Jackson and Grandma. What does the "S" stand for?? Mackenzie will (hopefully, fingers crossed) have her very own cake soon.

Jackson loves to blow out the candles!
Maddie was very excited about the party and all the action. She was crawling around and around just as fast as she could go.

A House Full: Grandma, Auntie Donna Jean, and Uncle Vince. Beagle Maggie, Uncle Bruce and Grandpa were also here this weekend. We had a great time with everybody and it was sad to see them go. And VERY quiet...

First Steps!

I'm slowly training myself to not tilt the camera when I take a video. Last night Maddie started to get the hang of this walker. Watch out everybody!

Hey, did you check out Bosco on the Daily Digital? It's not too late. He'll be on there for quite a while and sometime next week she'll announce the winner of the "Weekly Caption Contest". She does this every Friday and I didn't realize when I entered Bosco's picture that that was the day we would have. But thanks for your caption ideas anyway. Laurie (the blogger) said that she had I think over 60 submissions and only 8 winners. Pretty exciting stuff.

Thanks to everyone who submitted hilarious comment ideas!

Still no camera, so here are a few more of my favorites. Maddie and I are heading to Saskatoon on Monday so we'll be able to access the camera again (and Auntie Lisa's computer).

F OFF!!

Literally. the F key on my computer is not working. I have to press extra hard just to get an f. FFFF. I have a new swear inger and it is my F pointer inger. Sometimes I can find the f and sometimes I can't ind it. It is very rustrating. It makes me eel urious.

Just thought I'd share my rustration.

An oldy but a goody. My camera is still broken and I le t (see what I'm talking about???) Jason's camera in saskatoon. Heading to Toon Town on monday, but until then you'll just have to enjoy the classics.

And before you ask, here is the plan: Heading to Saskatoon on monday or a ew weeks. Then hopeully the house will sell and I'll come back here to pack. Or maybe not. Don't know...
