The Scene:
7:30 a.m. Saturday morning, I'm drinking coffee (trying desperately to wake up), Madge is watching a movie...and talking non stop
Me: (wishing she would sit quietly so I could just drink my coffee in peace...) "Either watch the movie or we'll shut it off and you can just talk"
Madge: "OK!" (jumps up, turns the tv off and doesn't stop talking)
(it was a rookie mistake, what was I thinking? obviously, time to pour another cup of coffee...)

i love the way you put a voice to the thoughts I try to hide thinking it makes me a bad parent...when you say it I don't think "bad parent" I just think "frickin reality!"
